Logging Simply put, Modelrific is a tool for the modeling industry comprised of a social network, off-line workshops and conferences, exclusive industry publications and resources, mobile applications, and much more. We provide a network of resources and members comprised of professional models, photographers, makeup artists, stylists, designers, and other artists that work within the modeling industry. In addition to talent, Modelrific has a strong focus on providing resources to the businesses, agencies, publications, managers, and casting directors that hire them.
Modelrific was created by Geoff Sanders, a professional photographer, who has been involved in the industry for years. His work with publications, television shows, and models around the nation has helped him develop an intimate relationship with the modeling industry and the professionals that comprise it.
After using many of the various modeling networks currently online, Geoff realized there was a drastic need for a truly professional resource that focused on the user experience and the resources and tools needed to develop talent, connect professionals, improve and develop skills, and increase the online and offline presence of the modeling industry as a whole. Previous modeling networks were no more than a place to post a few photos and leave comments. In fact, most of these networks charge a steep premium and return very little, all while offering no real-world resources. As an avid web designer, Geoff saw an opportunity to fill a hole in this industry by creating a resource developed by a professional with the knowledge and expertise to create a truly valuable resource for the industry.
While Modelrific.com is the foundation of Modelrific LLC, the company has aspirations that reach far beyond the web. This is a real industry with real people and as such, real world resources should compliment online resources. Modelrific will create and produce nation-wide workshops and conferences, develop mobile and offline applications, and create tools enabling talent to market their services in an effort to increase exposure and income (that's the point, right?). Modelrific is more than just a place to socialize, it's a network of resources created solely for modeling industry.
After a year of development which involved countless test phases, user feedback, and too many edits to count, Modelrific.com was launched on July 4th, 2011.
